Nanomakers Si nanoparticles produced by Pyrolysis Laser technology are tested and recognized by global experts.

 

Nanomakers also developed and patented a grade of Si: NM SiΩC. They are nanoparticles of silicon coated with a uniform layer of carbon of a few nanometers. The coating brings new features to nano-Si.

 

Nanomakers offer therefore 2 types of products: NMSi99 and NMSiΩC99.

The NM Si99 grade is supplied with a guaranteed low oxygen content (<3% by mass) and some metallic traces of Fe, Cr, Ni (<5 to 40 ppm)

These are carbon-coated silicon nanopowders. Our technology makes it possible to produce and coat the nanoparticles in one step. Thus, the coating is carried out on particles which have not been brought into contact with air, the interface between the particle and the coating is consequently free of oxygen.

 

This grade is intended for the manufacture of Si-C composites for the anode material of the Li-ion battery. The carbon layer makes it possible to protect the Si nanoparticle from oxygen contamination of the air and to help its use in the anode material for optimum performance of the Li-ion battery.
